"Emma has been given the chance to have great exposure to a local Tanzanian NGO. She has been involved in different projects from graphic designer to social media consultant and online journalism. She has been involved in analyzing community issues, music, arts and sports as well as culture and Tanzanian traditions. The work that she has been doing during her placement included working on publications visiting journalists, photographers, graphic designers and marketing people to help promote and develop these tendencies in Tanzania. The internship has been focused on her skills in order to gain experience in journalism and PR in a developing country and to develop an understanding of the process that goes into bringing a publication to life. Emma has been able to interact with the local communities, experiencing what means to be a journalist. She has been able to take concrete considerations regarding several topics, related to culture and traditions in Tanzania.
