My Testimonials

Macmillan Fundraiser
Art in
Tanzania

"Ms Emma was participating as an intern for 2 weeks term. This is short-term to give any larger tasks but the student can be, as Emma, empowering the acute tasks. This as in her case is to produce social media content. Emma did good work on that." - Kari Korhonen, Art In Tanzania Director

"Emma has been given the chance to have great exposure to a local Tanzanian NGO. She has been involved in different projects from graphic designer to social media consultant and online journalism. She has been involved in analyzing community issues, music, arts and sports as well as culture and Tanzanian traditions. The work that she has been doing during her placement included working on publications visiting journalists, photographers, graphic designers and marketing people to help promote and develop these tendencies in Tanzania. The internship has been focused on her skills in order to gain experience in journalism and PR in a developing country and to develop an understanding of the process that goes into bringing a publication to life. Emma has been able to interact with the local communities, experiencing what means to be a journalist. She has been able to take concrete considerations regarding several topics, related to culture and traditions in Tanzania. Emma has been focusing the attention on online journalism and promotion, experiencing life as a journalist or photographer in the field." - Joshua Fairclough, UK Operation Manager

An explanation of the work placement at Art in Tanzania that I completed can be found here, in a placement report created as part of a university module.

"Emma Benningwood is an event organizer to watch out for.

On August 27th 2015 Emma held a Charity Event in aid of McMillan Nurses at the Lime Tree Park Club in Coventry.  This was her first event and it was ran superbly with the advertising of the event, booking of live bands, running raffles etc being second to none.  The attention to detail and the hard work and long hours that Emma put in to ensure that the event was successful and ran smoothly was a testament to her success.

I wish her every success in her chosen career." - Helen Evans-Maidment, General Manager, Lime Tree Park Club

Radio Plus

“I can confirm that Emma Benningwood volunteered for Radio Plus 101.5FM between June 2014 and March 2015. She undertook a number of roles to support us, including the provision of content for the radio station on our social media channels and serving in a P.R support at some of our summer festivals, including the Godiva Festival, at which we host the Community Stage. Emma is a pleasure to work with. She’s hard working and is a team player, whilst being happy to take responsibility for working individually and to a deadline. She clearly has an interest in media and communications and was both enthusiastic and diligent in her work for us.” - Tim Coleman, Station Manager
